Milia
Milia are small, bump-like cysts found under the skin which are usually 1 to 2 millimeters (mm) in size. They are formed when skin flakes or keratin, a protein, become trapped under the skin. They can appear in any age and are common in new-borns where it is generally self-limiting. The common sites of appearance are face, cheeks and around the eyelids. Treatment modalities for milia include de-roofing, curettage & cryotherapy. It is also imperative to distinguish milia associated with other diseases.
