Dermaroller (Microneedling)

A dermaroller is a skin care device used to help rejuvenate the skin, treat acne scarring, and reduce signs of aging. It is a method of microneedling or collagen induction therapy where the dermaroller is rolled over the skin. The small, fine needles on the roller puncture the skin and creates controlled superficial skin injury. This results in release of substances that stimulate growth and cause formation of new blood vessels within the skin. As a result the skin starts to produce more collagen. This new collagen formation gives more fullness to the kin and helps in filling up the existing scars and depressions. It is a relatively safe procedure employed in treatment of acne scars and other depressed scars.
