Seborrheic Keratosis
Seborrheic Keratosis is a common age related noncancerous skin growth. They appear usually as brown or black waxy growths that may be scaly and slightly raised. They usually appear on the head, neck, chest or back. They are harmless but can significantly affect ones appearance when it occurs on the exposed parts like face, neck or chest. Most of the patients prefer to get them removed owing to this. Evaluation by an expert dermatologist should be sought when many such growths develop over a short time, the growths get irritated or bleed when your clothing rubs against them or when you notice suspicious changes in your skin, such as sores or growths that grow rapidly, bleed and don't heal.
